A Data Engineer position is available, with the role reporting to the Head of Data Engineering. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to transform data into valuable insights, which will be used to guide product design and feature development for our products and business. Your duties will encompass the entire analysis lifecycle, including requirements gathering, task management, and design implementation. You will be responsible for both analyzing source data systems and providing support for reporting functions and capabilities. Our goal is to become a data-driven organization, and you will play a key role in achieving this by overseeing the performance of source domain data systems, conducting data cleansing, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
Paidy is a dynamic company, and the Data Engineer role demands a wide range of skills, including data interpretation, database management, data cleansing, report data modeling, and other skills typically essential for establishing a robust data foundation in a data-driven organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting data, employing statistical techniques, and providing continuous reports.
- Crafting and implementing systems for data collection and analytics.
- Devising and executing strategies to enhance statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Gathering data from various sources, performing thorough data cleansing and structuring to align with business needs.
- Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns within source data systems in product domains.
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Report generation
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Databases and data systems, including expertise in:
- Postgres
- Cassandra
- Kafka
Software development using languages like:
- Python
- Java
- Scala
Strong command of business-level English and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
