The role involves various responsibilities, including:
- Driving Cross-Team Development Projects : Taking the lead in managing cross-team development projects at Paidy and providing updates to stakeholders on project status.
- Coordinating Resources : Collaborating with internal teams and external third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Capturing Initiative Developments : Gathering data-driven insights on initiatives within Paidy, visualizing them, and managing their priority and resource allocation.
- Creating and Executing Processes : Establishing processes and initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and service quality, particularly within the engineering team.
- Agile Implementation : Promoting the implementation of agile methodologies in feature development by cross-functional teams.
- Release Train Implementation : Managing the implementation of release trains that span across multiple departments.
- Organizational Sync and OKR Alignment : Ensuring alignment across the entire organization and tracking progress in line with predetermined Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Utilizing Agile Tools : Leveraging Agile project management tools like Jira to monitor team progress, productivity, and individual performance.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 5+ Years of Project Management Experience : A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in project management.
- Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies : Familiarity with various project management processes and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
- Proficiency in Project Management Tools : Proficient in using project management software and tools, such as JIRA, to effectively manage and track project progress.
- Understanding of Agile Development and SDLC : A solid understanding of agile development methods and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Leadership and Communication Skills : Strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities to lead and motivate teams.
- Cross-Functional Understanding : Knowledge and comprehension of product management, customer support, marketing, and engineering, enabling effective collaboration across these domains.
- Business-Level English : Proficiency in English at a business level to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
- IT Background with Development Experience : An IT background with prior development experience within the same industry, as opposed to unrelated fields like electrical or chemical. This industry-specific experience is valuable for understanding and managing IT projects effectively.
In addition to the previously mentioned qualifications, the following credentials and skills are beneficial:
- Professional Certifications : Possession of certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) can enhance your qualifications.
- Experience in Internal Process Platform Development : Prior experience in developing platforms for internal processes, which can be valuable for streamlining operations and efficiency.
- Business-Level Japanese Skills (Preferred) : Proficiency in Japanese at a business level, if preferred or required for the role.
