Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead in Tokyo, Japan
Paidy is currently seeking an experienced Engineer with deep expertise in functional programming, particularly in Scala, to join their engineering department responsible for Buy Now Pay Later services.
The Buy Now Pay Later team oversees the platform and APIs that underpin the fundamental functions of Paidy's business, including payments, billing, and settlements. The role entails establishing technical direction, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and delivering innovative features and capabilities.
As a member of this team, you will actively participate in every phase of the development life cycle. You will have the opportunity to share industry best practices and set high standards not only for your own team but also for other teams within Paidy's engineering organization. Your contributions will significantly influence and shape the engineering culture at Paidy.
This position offers the option of working fully remotely. However, to facilitate effective collaboration, candidates should either be located in Japan or a nearby region with substantial overlapping working hours, as Japan operates in the UTC+09:00 time zone.
