In this capacity, you will play a vital role in helping us approach these challenges thoughtfully and strategically.
Your responsibilities will encompass identifying and addressing key bottlenecks, as well as the development of new features and support, along with the extension or simplification of existing ones. This role offers you a unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of crafting simple user experiences for complex products.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues and teams working on various services and features for both internal and external users. These include:
- Paidy Mobile App : This app enables users to pay later, engage in smart shopping, access Paidy Plus benefits, and explore payment plans for Apple products.
- MyPaidy : Paidy's single-page application for consumers, evolving from a payments dashboard to a comprehensive platform where consumers can manage various payment solutions.
- Frontend Experiences for Merchants : Designing user-friendly interfaces for merchants to efficiently handle Paidy payments online, reducing friction in their online business operations.
- Paidy Admin : An internal tool used across teams to investigate and manage merchants, consumers, payments, charges, partners, and settlements. We aim to enhance efficiency through investment in internal tools, each presenting unique frontend engineering challenges.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including experts in product, design, infrastructure, and operations. Additionally, you'll be responsible for instrumenting systems with monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure accuracy, availability, and responsiveness, thereby contributing to our overall operational excellence.
To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and characteristics:
- Educational Background : A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field gained through relevant experience.
- UI Expertise : Proficiency in building pixel-perfect and smooth user interfaces (UIs) on both mobile platforms using ReactNative.
- React.js Proficiency : Experience using React.js for web development.
- Native API Integration : Ability to leverage native APIs for seamless integration with iOS and Android platforms.
- Native Build Tools : Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode, Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ).
- Modern Tools : Enjoy working with modern development tools such as ES6, React, Redux, Flow, and Webpack.
- Team Collaboration : A history of team-based software development experience and a willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Quality Focus : A strong commitment to performance, accessibility, and API design, prioritizing high-quality outcomes.
- Generalist Approach : Comfortable being a generalist and solving diverse problems to enhance user experiences.
- Design Abilities : Proficiency in creating design proposals using wireframes, sketches, and mockups.
- Integration Skills : The ability to connect different services and processes, even if you haven't worked with them before.
- Code Quality : A high standard for producing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Additional qualifications and experience that are beneficial for this role include:
- B2C User Experience : Familiarity with designing and creating user experiences for B2C (business-to-consumer) applications and platforms.
- Financial or Payment Product Experience : Prior experience working with financial or payment products, which can be particularly valuable in understanding the nuances and requirements of this industry.
