About Merpay

Merpay is expanding its scope far beyond payment services to provide a comprehensive social infrastructure that encompasses all facets of daily life. We place a strong emphasis on transparency in our interactions with users, partner companies, financial institutions, local government entities, and our numerous stakeholders. This approach enables us to foster deeper collaboration with the Mercari marketplace app.

In conjunction with Mercari, we have established an ecosystem that introduces novel forms of distribution, selling, purchasing, and credit services. Through this ecosystem, we aspire to permanently reshape the role that money and consumer spending assume in our lives, thereby bringing about lasting transformation.

About Mercoin

At Mercoin, we are actively engaged in planning and developing services related to crypto assets and blockchain technology. Our aim is to simplify the use of financial services within Mercari by venturing into the crypto asset sector. This includes enabling users to receive payments for their Mercari sales in Bitcoin and offering a unified wallet function that encompasses not only Merpay's payment and remittance services but also credit, crypto assets, and asset management capabilities.

Furthermore, Mercari has initiated projects involving blockchain technologies, which introduce fresh opportunities for individuals to exchange value. The company is committed to redefining the concept of buying and selling, making it easier for everyone to exchange value in all its forms. This encompasses not only physical goods and currency but also services and digital content, such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Circulate all forms of value to unleash the potential in all people

"How can I contribute to society's prosperity given our limited resources?" This question served as the inspiration for the creation of the Mercari marketplace app in 2013 by our founder, Shintaro Yamada, during his travels around the world. We firmly believe that by facilitating the circulation of various forms of value, extending beyond physical items and money, we can open doors for individuals to pursue their aspirations and make positive contributions to society and those in their proximity. Mercari is committed to leveraging technology to connect people across the globe, ultimately striving to build a world where everyone can unlock their full potential. Equal Opportunity Hiring

At Mercari, our mission is to build a world where no one's potential is constrained by their background, and where everyone has the liberty to generate value. We strongly emphasize that fostering a culture of Diversity & Inclusion is integral to realizing our mission.

This principle naturally extends to our hiring procedures. Mercari is dedicated to eradicating discrimination based on attributes such as age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, physical abilities, and other similar factors. Our objective is to ensure that individuals who resonate with our mission and values can become part of our team, regardless of their personal backgrounds.
